Aoife graduated from IADT Dun Laoghaire in 2011 with an Honours Degree in Visual Arts Practice. For three of the four years attended, she specialised in 3D construction and Classical Sculpture while also pursuing extra curricular roles in drama, film and photography. She also completed a MA in Film Studies from UCD in August 2020.
From there, Aoife has grown a career in film and theatre design, finding herself working on projects with Irish directors such as Lance Daly, Jim Sheridan and Ian Fitzgibbon, with roles in productions such as Ripper Street and Irish feature film Life's A Breeze, as well as numerous other features, short films and theatre productions.
In 2014, Aoife collaborated with Sickle Moon Productions and became part of Theatre Upstairs first year's Production Company in Residence. Through this programme she designed three original plays, written and directed by Sickle Moon, as well as being involved in many other works between 2014 and 2016.
Moving away from theatre in 2016, Aoife has progressed further in her film career. She art directed her first feature film in 2018, and has since worked on numerous feature films and large tv productions. As well as her film work, Aoife freelances as an event stylist and production manager for both corporate and private events.
